Happy New Year to all our followers.

Following the lockdown announcement last night, this is how funerals are looking in England now.

As before, a maximum of 30 friends and family can attend a service but only six people are permitted to attend a wake. Crematoriums remain open for funeral services only. Places of worship will be closed but will be allowed to hold funerals.

Burial services can continue in cemetery and church grounds. Linked religious, belief-based or commemorative events, such as stone settings and ash scatterings, can also continue with six in attendance.

During any gathering, you must remain socially distant from anyone that is not a part of your household or support bubble and masks must be worn indoors unless exempt.

Many funerals continue to be ‘livestreamed’ where possible.

We are still working hard to ensure we look after our families to the highest standard. We are allowing families (two individuals at a time) to visit their loved one at our premises in a strictly Covid-safe way. Funeral arrangements can be made by phone, email, Zoom etc or in person if these methods aren’t suitable. Whatever your question, do get in touch. We are here to help you to arrange the best funeral possible in the circumstances.

With warm good wishes,

James & Jane at Family Tree.
