Put simply, an end-of-life doula is a non-medical companion to someone who is at end-of-life. Every doula is different and will have differing strengths and areas of interest in terms of the support they offer. Most will offer comprehensive end-of-life planning support, and all will offer practical and emotional support to the person who is dying and, if relevant, their family.
While Jane has no time to work actively with clients as a doula herself, she advocates for the role of the end-of-life doula in the community and supports End of Life Doula UK in the delivery of their Advance Care Planning training.
We believe Family Tree is the only funeral company in the country (tell us if you know differently!) offering what could be described as a comprehensive ‘before, during and after’ approach to death and dying.
